Our paella rice comes from ARROCERÍAS ANTONIO TOMÁS S.L. a company founded 40 years ago. Their Santo Tomas brand is recognised today as one premium brands in the market due to its quality.
This typical paella rice of the Bahía-Senia varieties is grown in the heart of the famous Albufera Natural Park, South-West of the city of Valencia, renowned as one of the best areas in Spain for rice cultivation.
ARROCERÍAS ANTONIO TOMÁS is also located within the park and through this has a privileged relationship with the farmers. This along with continual monitoring and selection ensures the best quality rice is able to be sourced.
How much rice do I use per person ?
For a "main course" portion use about 100g of dry rice per person. If it is more of a "tapas" size you need - eg it is part of a larger selection of dishes you are serving, use between 80g-85g of rice per person.
This rice uses about a 1 to 2.3 ratio of rice to stock. So in practice, for every 100g of rice you would use 230ml of stock. For bigger pans or when the paella is particularly thin, you may need to increase this to 1 to 2.5 ratio

Absorbs well and stays firm. There may be more premium rices available but I find this does the job very well. Much better than supermarket stuff. Big bag will last large family all summer.
